CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
REVIEW: PLAY HARD, Book #3 in A.C. Arthur’s Game Changers Series, delivers a captivating love story set against the backdrop of Providence, Virginia. This novel continues Ms. Arthur’s tradition of blending heartfelt romance with realistic challenges. The fictional town of Providence serves as more than just a background in the story. The community is brought to life with vivid descriptions of its close-knit atmosphere, and local traditions. It’s integral to the story by influencing the characters’ decisions and providing both comfort and conflict as the main characters, Noah and Serra, navigate their personal journeys.

Noah Jordan is a complex and compelling lead character. He’s an Ex-Hollywood stuntman, who is back in his hometown and running the Game Changers sports bar, he owns with his fellow “outcast brothers,” Ethan, Jeret, Del, Lance, and Rock. You will understand what brought them together when you read the story. Serra Ward, Noah’s love interest, is back in Providence lying low under a cloud of scandal brought on by her involvement with a Pro-basketball player. Ironically, she and Noah have history that they must deal with before they can move on to a future with each other. Ms. Arthur skillfully takes her readers on a second chance love story that forces both of our protagonists to confront their past and learn to open their hearts. The chemistry between Serra and Noah is undeniable, sparking both tender and explosive moments throughout the novel.

At its core,
PLAY HARD is a story about second chances, healing, and the courage to pursue happiness. The supporting cast of friends and family adds depth, providing both comic relief and emotional support as Noah and Serra’s relationship is tested by misunderstandings, secrets, and the demands of their respective careers.

I enjoyed this engaging story. With its well-developed characters, and exploration of love’s transformational power, this story is sure to appeal to fans of second chance romance. I recommend
PLAY HARD for your reading pleasure.
