CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE |4| Marguerite Lemons

REVIEW:  Norris Converse is a notorious playboy who’s shocked to discover he has fallen in love with his lover, Dahlia Sinclair. As he comes to terms with his feelings, he receives a phone call from a former lover. After agreeing to meet her, he finds out he’s the father of a sixteen year old daughter. Dahlia, has sworn that she will never marry nor speak to her sister again, after finding her in bed with her ex-husband. Dahlia has gone on to repair her life and her self esteem. The one thing she desires is also the one thing she fears the most.

Norris has become the owner of a successful accounting firm without the help of his parent’s money. He and his siblings have lived the majority of their lives without any parental involvement; therefore, he quickly assumes his parental responsibilities and encourages a relationship with his daughter. He also refuses to allow his mostly absent mother, who shows up unexpectedly, to interfere in that relationship. Dahlia is an educated and highly successful spa and salon owner. She is good friends with Norris’ daughter and her mother. She has a strained relationship with her family, because they seem to believe that she should just get over what happened in her marriage. Dahlia finally finds the strength to confront her ex-husband and her family about the wrongs done to her.

BLINDSIDED is set in and around the South Carolina area and is a moderately paced page turner. The main characters, as well as, the supporting cast are well educated, loving and supportive of each other. They offer their opinions to Norris and Dahlia when they are needed and attempt to mind their own business when necessary.

BLINDSIDED is a story about two independently successful people who enter into a no-strings attached relationship, but ended up finding the love they thought didn’t exist.

Ms. Williams has another winner and I definitely recommend it to all.
