REVIEW:  D’Andra Smalls is an overweight nurse who is trying to turn her life around; starting with losing weight. JaJuan “Night” Simmons is a personal trainer who is determined to open his own gym. D’Andra and Night are both focused on themselves and their present goals in life. As they grow closer to each other, neither can deny the strong attraction between them and it is just a matter of time before they fall in love.

D’Andra has spent her entire life feeling as if she were born to be her mother’s personal slave while her younger sister is the sparkle in their mothers’ eye. As a result she feels as if there is a vital part of her missing and she believes that the key is in her father; the man her mother refuses to tell her anything about. Night has always dreamed of owning his own gym but the closer he gets to seeing his dream come to fruition, the more obstacles come in his way. As Night helps D’Andra lose weight and tone her body, they realize that some things won’t be denied regardless of if they fit in your present plans or not.

The dialogue in the story is very intriguing. Zuri Day makes sure that the conversations between the characters flow smoothly and are relevant to the story. She also takes the time to provide the reader with health related information that allows the reader to become more informed of pertinent issues that are facing our community.
BODY BY NIGHT takes place in California which provides a nice backdrop for the couple and their story.

Ms. Day has done an excellent job with her second romance novel, writing story novel that is not only intriguing but informative as well. If her future work is anything like
BODY BY NIGHT, Zuri Day is definitely a new up and coming artist that you don’t want to sleep on.
