REVIEW: Jenna Gaines is a woman of achievement. She not only has earned her Ph.D., she has just purchased her first home and she has obtained a teaching job at her Alma Mater back in her home town of Detroit. Everything a woman could want; great job, beautiful home, and independence. The one thing that Jenna had to pass on was the love of her life, Scott Hendricks. Jenna and Scott met in college and for both it was truly love forever or so Jenna thought. Scott and Jenna promised each other to complete their educations and then marry and raise children. This was so important to Jenna since she was a Foster child. Even though she was raised by a supportive and loving woman, learned to be very independent and accomplished much, she still feels the void left by her mother’s desertion.

Scott Hendricks is now a retired successful NBA hoop star. He was in love with Jenna from the moment they met. He agreed that getting his degree in Chemistry was his desire and it did not matter that he was a talented athlete. Fate however is something that neither could avoid and 19yr old Scott was wooed into the NBA. He broke his promise to Jenna and she in turn “broke his heart” when she broke off their engagement and refused to follow him and his dream. Scott returned to Detroit because of his father’s death and decided to fulfill the promise to his father to obtain his degree in chemistry. The good news is that he is enrolled in school and the better news is that Jenna is a professor there. Does love have a chance again?

Bette Ford has a great story in CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF YOU. Her characters are believable, personable and their situation is realistic and thought provoking. Jenna was raised by a loving foster mother and had two foster sisters. She was taught to be self -sufficient and self-reliant , something that is very lacking in society today. She fought to find and reunite her family and she does with some results you will just have to read for yourself. You will not put this one down.
