PLOT SYNOPSIS:

REVIEW:

Alayna Alexandra has marriage and babies on her mind! She’ll do anything to make that dream come true--including marrying Warren Harrington, a man she doesn’t love.

Her life is not the same after she is assigned to work with former computer hacker, Khavon Brighton, on a high level computer security project.  Tall, dark, and oh so fine, Khavon sends Alayna into a state of confusion--the likes of which she has never seen.

Though engaged to Harrington, Alayna realizes that she doesn’t love him and she doesn’t want to experience the American Dream with him. After a series of mishaps and misunderstandings, she and Khavon become lovers on one starry, sub-zero night when they are snowbound because of a heavier than usual Minnesota blizzard. Just when they revel in the security of their relationship, they become involved in a web of deceit, intrigue, and greed caused by a cunning cyberthief who has a personal score to settle with Khavon. Alayna and Khavon find more than they are searching for on a business trip to Amsterdam and their lives are forever changed as a result of what they encounter there.

Valerie Rose weaves a wonderful tale of steamy romance and computer espionage that begs to be read. She incorporates suspense plot elements into her story; however, they don’t overshadow the main plot or the other fiction elements.  Ms. Rose has fresh, exciting voice and the potential to enjoy great success as Avid’s premier author. CAPPUCCINO IN THE WINTER will delight both computer aficionados and romance fans.
