REVIEW:  Charisma ,Tangie, and Heather are good friends with different men issues. Charisma refuses to participate in an office romance. She has managed to keep herself on the straight and narrow until Nate Arquette, her new boss arrives on the scene. He likes what he sees and lets Charisma know that he wants to pursue something more but she pushes him away. Tangie finds men who are eye candy, great in the sack but gun shy when it comes to commitment. She knows that she deserves more but can’t seem to break away from the “Baby, I’ll do better by you” lie she is being told. Heather is the last of the girlfriends who isn’t man crazy but very desperate to do something about her body. She has a beautiful face with a nose she hates and a body with personal flotation devices attached. She wants to lose the weight but would rather do it with pills and other means than the right way. What price does she pay for doing things the wrong way?

Charisma finally decides to go where her heart is leading her and she takes a chance with Nate. She has to learn a lesson from the consequences of rejecting a man who loves her instead of following her heart the first time. Tangie finds herself and learns that true love is a wonderful thing. However in finding true love sometimes you have to make the ultimate sacrifice. Heather almost loses her life in a quest to be beautiful the wrong way. Learning about her past and where she came from helps her heal, learn to love herself and finally find love. In the midst of everything, these ladies remain the best of friends. They support each other and love each other like the bestfriends and sisters they are.

Faye Thompson has done a great job with CHEESECAKE AND TEARDROPS.  She has three great characters who are holding different positions in life but all are lacking in the love department. They have issues with commitment, following your heart, dealing with schemers in the job place and body image. Learning to let your guard down and trust your heart with someone is very difficult. The ladies healed, learned self-love and what the true meaning of love is in different situations. This book will definitely keep you reading.
