REVIEW:  Celeste O. Norfleet has another amazing hit on her hands with CROSS YOUR HEART. We are first introduced to Natalia Coles in SULTRY STORM as Esteban Morales’ cousin. Natalia is a single mother, psychologist/social worker who is also the director of a teen center. David Montgomery is a well known celebrity actor who has no intentions of settling down and becoming a father. That is until a decision he made years ago comes back and threatens to change his life. What David doesn’t realize at the time is that his life will change for the best, that is, if the plans he’s already set in motion don’t ruin his one shot at true love.

Natalia Coles is known in her family for being levelheaded and logical most of the time.  Nat knows that there are no guarantees that she will find a “Mr. Love me for me” and doesn’t intend to wait on him to become a mom, so it’s with these same personality traits that she decides to become a mom via in vitro fertilization from a donors sperm that she brought outright. Now she is the proud mother of two sons; three-year old Brice and ten-month old Jayden.  When the grant money she usually receives falls through, Natalia hopes that the center qualifies for a grant from The Montgomery Foundation to stay open.  So imagine her shock when David Montgomery himself walks into her office. David Montgomery is determined to find the woman who used his sperm (that was not for sale) to have his two kids and pay her off to keep quiet.  However, once he meets Natalia he realizes that she is nothing like what he imagined. Natalia teaches him about love and trust; two things he’s never truly known about.  He finds himself in love with Natalia and his sons and wants to spend the rest of his life with them.  But the truth of their relationship is about to come to life thanks to the nosiness of a determined tabloid writer.  David is determined to keep his family together no matter what and make sure that Natalia, Brice, and Jayden become Montgomery's if its the last thing he does.

The supporting characters in this novel help provide the main characters with advice and help them see the logical ramifications of their actions. The dialogue is fascinating and flows smoothly.  The setting of the story takes place in Key West with trips to the Bahamas and Miami.

I would definitely recommend
CROSS MY HEART.  Ms. Norfleet does a superb job of telling Natalia and David’s story.  I would recommend that you read SULTRY STORM by Celeste O. Norfleet to gain a better understanding of Natalia’s character.  I can’t wait to see which of the Coles finds love next.
