SYNOPSIS: In this futuristic, paranormal, erotic romance, Darwu, the Warrior Prince, has started a war against the rebel resisters he believes killed his sacred mate, Kara Millan, when she was a child. However, after losing her parents and her entire village when she was a child, Kara instead became a leader and freedom fighter in The Resistance, sworn to bring down the corrupt monarchy.

CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE:  |4| La-Tessa Montgomery

REVIEW:  Kara Millan is the lone survivor of the brutal attack on her village ten years ago. Raised by the rebel resistance, she is now a fierce warrior determined to bring harmony to the people of Ourlane. Prince Darwu, the next in line to the throne, believes the woman destined to be his soul mate was killed ten years ago when her village was utterly destroyed. Believing the rebels to be responsible, he’s been driven by the sole desire to bring the resistance to its knees. When Kara is brought to him as a prisoner of war, they both immediately feel the powerful, kinetic energy flowing between them. These two adversaries must now learn to deal with their new roles as destined lovers in order to heal their land.

DIVINE DESTINY is a captivating tale in which the action and romance moves along at a quick pace. The story, a paranormal/erotic mix, is very engaging and I enjoyed reading about the fictional world Ms. Bolton created. Ourlane, its conflict and its people, is made real through the author’s descriptive use of imagery, narrative, and dialogue. She does an excellent job balancing all of the story elements, while bringing the story to a satisfying conclusion.

Kara and Darwu are a very passionate couple, the sparks almost fly off the page. Kara, a warrior in her own right, is the perfect companion for the strong, alpha male Darwu. While they are both physically and mentally strong, they balance each other with their difference in philosophies and love they share for one another. Ms. Bolton does a good job of allowing the characters to develop with the story. The secondary characters really help lay the ground work and move the story along. The love scenes are downright wicked.

In short, DIVINE DESTINY is a very quick, hot read and I recommend it to all. But be warned, once you pick it up, you may not be able to but it down. In fact, I finished it in about 3 hours.
