REVIEW: Laura Masterson has a new job as a physical therapist,
and her life couldn’t be better; until she meets her new boss, Chase
Dillard. The same Chase Dillard that put their relationship on hold to
pursue his dreams. Laura and Chase met at a young age. They dated for
years, some would say the bond they shared couldn’t be broken and there
was even a possibility of marriage. Then Chase is offered a chance of a
lifetime, an opportunity to become an Olympic medalist.
The plot keeps the reader guessing as to which one will give in to their
feelings for the other first. The story moves along well, giving the
reader time to get to know and care about the characters and to watch
their relationships develop at a believable pace. The settings, while
not a major element of the story, gives the reader a vivid picture of
the characters everyday surroundings.
HERE AND NOW is a stirring, but fun novel which uses wit and humor in
order to remind the reader of issues faced in relationships by both by
both sexes. This is a story of love lost between two lovers, of shifting
blame, and the impact that broken relationships have on those involved.
It also outlines the themes of trust loyalty and forgiveness.
Overall, HERE AND NOW is an entertaining light read. I look forward to
the next installment of the Masterson Clan. I recommend this book to
others for their reading enjoyment.
