SYNOPSIS: When Manhattan journalist Michelle Michaels meets Detroit star reporter Wesley Abbot, she knows she should avoid this player
at all costs. But there's nothing like an emphatic "no" to send a player in full pursuit.
CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE: (4) LaShonda El
REVIEW: Wrongly suspected of trading sex for scoops, journalist Michelle Michaels is forced to leave her Manhattan newspaper and
relocate to her hometown of Detroit to their sister station. While there she runs into Wesley Abbott and it’s an instant attraction. Although
she is cautious to step into another relationship, she can’t resist Wesley's charm. But after learning that her family secret is connected to
the important investigation that Wesley is working on they both have to choose if their love is worth fighting for.
IF YOU JUST SAY YES moves along at a steady pace. The reader is constantly trying to find the secrets the characters hold and how they
connect. The Detroit setting is suitable for the story because of its laid back atmosphere and both characters have it in common.
The personalities of the characters are very realistic in a way that readers can easily identify with them and getting to know them from an
individual standpoint before they know them as a couple. Mrs. Laudat unites two people who are dealing with their own tribulations and helps
them find themselves and what was missing in their lives. The facts that both hero and heroine are both journalist and have to make decisions
about their work that will effect their personal life gives the reader a look into their characters. The dialogue in the story is not only
down-to-earth and open but allows the characters express themselves in a way the reader is familiar with and can understand.
IF YOU JUST SAY YES is another one of Mrs. Laudat’s fun and enjoyable stories. The plot and the characters are both charming and bright
and give the reader a very pleasurable read. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it to anyone wanting to read about how even the most
uncommon circumstances can bring love. Mrs. Laudat - Keep up the good work!
