REVIEW: Justine Crandall has it all: a successful business, a
husband with a thriving business, and a happy marriage. Realizing she
hasn’t spent any private time with her husband lately, she plans to
seduce him. She heads up to their cabin in the mountains only to be
surprised herself when she walks in on Andrew in bed with another woman.
Furious and angry she storms out, with him chasing after her in pursuit.
Andrew, speeding to catch up with her, careens off a cliff. Justine is
devastated, hurt, and angry; but she stays by his side. Her best friend
Brianna comes back to town to support her, along with the past love of
her life. Justine is forced to make decisions that she didn’t think she
would be strong enough to make on her own. Does she still love her
husband? Is she willing to forgive and forget? Or should she seek out a
past love of her life for comfort?
Ms. Ray shows her true skills throughout IN ANOTHER MAN’S BED. She has a
gift connecting the right characters, plot, and settings in a story. She
never disappoints me when it comes to this. She combines the right
twists and turns to keep the story at a good pace. For example, Justine
is a strong, beautiful, and intelligent woman. I admired her tenacity in
finding the truth about her husband and this woman. I understood her
feelings for her husband, and the past love of her life. She stepped
right in trying to keep the finances in order, and making sure her
unfaithful husband had the best possible care. Andrew is smooth and
aggressive, this man is bold to say the least. When you’re in business
with a partner, there are certain things you just don’t do. He is no
doubt a liar and a cheater, and he failed to realize that Justine is a
lot stronger woman than he thought.
The plot will have you on edge throughout the story. The characters are
energetic. The secondary characters Briana, Dalton, Marcus, and of
course the infamous Nina, bring a lot to the story. They give it the
extra punch it needs. Brianna is Justine’s support, the sister she never
had. She’s feisty and will let you have it if need be. Dalton is
good-looking and talented; he’s a caring man who’s there for Justine.
Ms. Nina, well let’s just say she is definitely a mystery woman and
master of many disguises. You think you know her, but you really don’t.
Bravo, Ms. Ray on a job well done. This is definitely a good read.
