REVIEW:  After centuries of searching, Adam has found his wife, reincarnated as Eve. When faced with loosing Eve yet again, Adam makes the ultimate choice and changes Eve into the one thing he finds repulsive, a female vampire.

Adam, a powerful and feared vampire, is holding on to the love he felt for his first wife before she was killed, and he became a vampire. Having found Eve, his wife reincarnated, Adam sets out to make her remember their past life and their love. Realizing the things she believed to be fantasy are a reality, Eve’s eyes are opened to things she never dreamed possible as she falls in love with Adam. When Adam finds that he is about to lose Eve again, he turns her into the one thing that repulses him, a vampire. A thin line between love and hate is drawn as Eve battles her feelings for Adam and her will to not feed on mortals as Vampires have done for centuries. With the help of Sullivan, Eve learns to live as a vampire on her terms in her quest to find a “cure”.

IN BLOOD WE TRUST starts out a bit slow, in my opinion, dragging a bit in the beginning as Eve comes to grips with her immortality and her torn feelings between Adam and Sullivan. There are some intense action scenes that help to hold your attention as the lovers’ triangle unfolds. Although the overall story line was good, there are times when the dialogue was too wordy, drawing out scenes and making me want to skip ahead. The change in the relationship between Eve and Sullivan was hard for me to accept, with it at times feeling forced for the sake of controversy. Although each character was clearly portrayed, their personalities became blurred as the story progressed, making their actions appear out of tune with their lives as vampires.

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy the fantasy world weaved by tales of Vampires. Although there is an underlying theme of love, this is not your normal romance novel.
