PLOT SYNOPSIS:

REVIEW:

Do you remember your first big crush? Do you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up?  Do you know the thrill of realizing a dream? If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you will love INTIMATE SECRETS because it contains all of these elements.  This is a book with characters that the reader can relate to and cheer for, wrapped up in a romance that will long be remembered.

Johanna Jones has dreamed of one thing all her life--to own the Nottoway Inn, a lovely old hotel in her hometown of Nottoway, Virginia.  Johanna has planned, saved, invested and rained all her life to be ready to buy the inn and now her dream has come true. She returns to Virginia to renovate the inn and make it the showplace that it once was.  Everything is going as she planned with the exception of her re-acquaintance with Jonathan Blake, the older brother of her best friend.   The object of her girlish affection adds an unexpected complication to her life--Jonathan is handsome, single and interested in her, but all she wants is the Inn.  Or is she ready for more?

Jonathan Blake’s reaction to seeing Johanna again is just as volatile. He is completely taken with the beautiful woman that he first knew as a winsome girl.  He is drawn to her even though a tragedy from his past makes him wary;  she makes him experience emotions that he has tried to deny for years.  Jonathan knows that to love again, he must let go of the past.  And in Johanna’s arms he finds the strength and desire to let love set a new course for the future.

Constance Poarch has brought us a story with convincing characters, a believable plot and a sizzling romance. Her locale is vivid and visual--you will want to check in to the Nottoway Inn for a weekend getaway!  She uses a delightful humor and charm in creating people that you enjoy spending time with--you also get to touch bases with characters from previous books, which is always wonderful.  Best of all, her heroine is a strong, independent woman who has not been sitting around waiting for Prince Charming to bring her the desires of her heart. She is smart, savvy and has been planning for her success.  And she gets the Prince anyway, so I am definitely not mad at her!  Don’t keep this one an INTIMATE SECRETS--read it and tell all your friends about it!
