REVIEW:  Readers; if you’re looking for a summer read that aims to please, add to your list, soon to be released novel INTIMATE SEDUCTION by renowned author Brenda Jackson.

Princeton Science Professor, Natalie Ford is taking over her aunt’s housekeeping business while she recuperates from an injury but her aunt would not approve of her falling asleep in her most finicky client’s bed. Voracious playboy, Donovan Steele is puzzled when he comes home to find a woman sleeping in his off-limits private master suite. Maybe it’s because she is absolutely gorgeous but Donovan’s reaction is not to toss her out but to join her. Natalie’s embarrassment turns to outrage when Donovan confidently declares, she’ll be back in his bed but next time with him. The gauntlet is tossed and neither intends to lose. Donovan gives chase but why does he begin to feel he’s the one being captured. Donovan realizes Natalie is no ordinary woman which might explain his extraordinary response to her. Then a top secret formula for a new invention at Steele Corporation is compromised and Donovan begins to wonder just who is his beautiful and elusive bed partner. Maybe finding Natalie in his bed wasn’t a coincidence after all.

Ms. Jackson wastes no time getting right into the pursuit with Donovan and Natalie. Everything happens quickly but it isn’t rushed. Donovan’s attitude is overly confident but the fact that he’s described with such vivid, delicious glory adds to his inability to do any wrong. Natalie’s character is equally beautiful but she doesn’t come across quite as comfortable in her skin as Donovan does. She is a very relatable character because other successful women sometimes experience the same emotions. The Steele brothers are gorgeous, so are all of Donovan’s friends. There are so many bachelors and so many more stories to tell; I can’t wait.

INTIMATE SEDUCTION is set in Charlotte, North Carolina home of the Steele family and establishes Donovan’s connection with his brothers. Dialogue throughout the novel is infused with humor and a particularly noteworthy exchange occurs when Donovan and his friend Xavier run into Natalie and a friend at a night spot. Xavier basically quips that both ladies are beautiful but he’d take the one that wasn’t throwing visual daggers their way. There isn’t an exchange between characters that falls short of expectation. Donovan and Natalie’s exchanges keep you tuned in and turned on.
Be warned:
INTIMATE SEDUCTION requires a couple hours of undivided attention and a cool bottle of water. Why might you ask? Well you’ll need the time because you won’t want to put the book down and once you start reading you’ll figure out why you need the water. That’s all I’m saying.
