REVIEW:
Shayna Kenyon did the
unthinkable; after catching her fiancé cheating the night before their wedding,
she confronts him on her wedding day and walks away. A reality break in Jamaica
is just the pick-me-up this romance author needs. Especially, when Shayna
arrives at the exclusive resort…and notices a seriously sexy brother checking
her out.
Ms. Perrin introduces the second book of the Kimani Hotties and of course she
doesn’t disappoint us with the two main characters. Shayna has to be the
strongest woman to deal with the heartbreak of walking away from a cheating
fiancé. She’s smart, has the looks and has a wonderful career. Donovan Deval is
the man of any woman’s dream. He’s sincere; family oriented and knows how to
treat a lady. Did I mention he’s drop dead fine? Who wouldn’t want a man like
that? Both Shayna and Donovan have had heartache. Now if they could only make a
love connection.
The plot is entertaining and mysterious, it keeps you glued to this book. I
really enjoyed Shayna’s sister Brianne and of course Donovan’s sister Audrey.
Both ladies definitely need to have their own story. They brought unconditional
love and support for their siblings.
The scene takes place in Jamaica mon. The setting is a beautiful resort with
exotic beaches, hotels and nice tourist attractions. The music, food and drinks
are to die for. Who wouldn’t want to visit a place like this? Shayla and Donovan
have stimulating chemistry after meeting for the first time. I found myself
rooting for them throughout the story. I have to say, I was a little confused by
Shayna’s attitude towards Donovan when he came to see her at a book signing. I
didn’t think she handled the situation well at all.
Ms. Perrin should be commended on a job well done.
Island Fantasy
is definitely a must read. Don’t forget to purchase the Kimani Hotties each
month. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed.
