REVIEW: Delilah Benton is an attractive, highly sought after business woman who has one major character flaw -- choosing the wrong man to love!  When her boyfriend, who happens to be her boss, sideswipes her for his “current” girlfriend and then demands Delilah’s dismissal, Delilah decides to use her newfound “off-time” to reassess her life at her cousin’s beach house on beautiful Coree Island in North Carolina.  While there, Delilah meets David Washington, they fall in love and much to the chagrin of David’s family are married after a few weeks of knowing each other.  LOVING DELILAH explores the problems that arise as a result of the quickness of their marriage.  Will the stresses of a new marriage, familial discontent and murder be too much for Delilah and David to handle?

Both Delilah and David are interesting compelling characters.  A strong woman, Delilah’s ability to rebound from an embarrassing situation and take control of her life is admirable. A successful pediatrician, David has completely thrown himself into his thriving practice. Like Delilah he has suffered and survived a heart-wrenching break-up.  Kindred souls, they both deserve love and happiness!

In LOVING DELILAH, Ms. Poarch revisits a character that she introduced in previous works (Shattered Illusions; Lighthouse Magic) and gives Delilah her own story of love and trust.  She pens a story that gives readers a little bit of mystery and intrigue along while allowing them to feel the passion that her two characters feel for one another.

The combination of mystery and romance offers readers more to sink their teeth into.  This along with the steamy love scenes adds more texture to Loving Delilah.  All of her characters have essential roles aiding and creating fluidity to the storyline.  The title is quite appropriate as well as prophetic in the biblical connotation of the name “Delilah.”

LOVING DELILAH is a great read and fans of Ms. Poarch’s will not be disappointed.
