REVIEW:
Simona Taylor creates a story of lies,
deceit, and love in MEET ME IN PARIS.
Kendra Forrest is on the run from a painful past and trying to make a new,
improved, version of herself. In the midst of improving her life, she finds
herself deep in debt and resorts to low measures to help pay some bills. Trey
Hammond has been through a very rough time in life. As he takes a new turn in
life, he still has ice around his heart. Can Trey allow love, compassion, and
understanding to re-enter his heart and forgive Kendra for her deception, or
will they be destined to never have love again?
Kendra Forrest grew up as Kate Ford, an overweight, under loved child. She
leaves her home and lands in Santa Amata with a new look and lease on life. She
becomes Kendra Forrest a rising travel agent with all of the stylish clothes and
accessories money can buy. There’s only one problem, Kendra is flat broke and
can’t seem to stop shopping no mater what, so she “borrows” money from work.
Trey Hammond, new owner of Wanderlust has am external audit on his new company
and discovers that Kendra has been stealing from him. Trey fires Kendra and
hires her to help him move into his new house so she can pay off her debt. When
his mother makes a surprise visit and catches him and Kendra in a compromising
position, he asks her to play along as “Natalie” his made up girlfriend. As
Kendra and Trey play the roles laid before them, they find themselves falling in
love with each other. When their secret unravels and Trey finds out Kendra’s
real identity, they will have to do some deep soul searching to find out if they
have what it takes to make it.
The story takes place in the made up city of Santa Amata. The final scene of the
story is set in Paris. The supporting characters help Trey and “Natalie” build
their relationship. The dialogue moves at a great pace and keeps the reader
alert and ready for more.
MEET ME IN PARIS
is a great
novel. Simona Taylor did an excellent job developing her characters and
their situations. I look forward to more great works from Simona Taylor.
