REVIEW:
Trevelle Doval is the charismatic televangelist and head of the multimillion
dollar Doval Ministries. She has the kind of past that most people don’t rebound
from but then everyone is not Trevelle Doval. She is trying to run damage
control with media coverage of her husband and his escapades. Not only did her
husband have an affair with her assistant, there is a video tape to prove it and
her assistant was underage when the affair occurred. To add insult to injury,
because of a misunderstanding of the pushing and shoving kind, Airic is now
accused of Domestic battery.
Airic Fisher is Trevelle’s husband of two years and he has had his trials and
tribulations during this two year union. He knew that Trevelle had a past and
married her anyway with the marital alienation and all. The only bright spot in
his life is Mya, his daughter who Airic initially walked away from. A year ago
no thanks to Trevelle, a DNA test done the second time verified that Airic not
Jake was Mya’s father. His visitation with his daughter may be in jeopardy
because of the domestic battery charge which he has called and accident. Venus
and Jake, Mya’s parents, don’t plan to make things easy for Airic but he is not
backing down.
Venus and Jake are finally settling down into their marriage and Venus is
settling down into her new business, a flower shop in Atlanta. She was a
corporate woman who was doing well in her career until her Jake pulled up stakes
and walked away from his business after being accused of a murder he didn’t
commit to settle down in Atlanta. Jake’s past is coming back to bite him on the
butt in the form of his business partner Legend. Venus doesn’t like Legend and
she sees him for the snake that he is but will Jake see the light too before his
past ruins his future.
NAPPILY IN BLOOM
is captivating from the beginning to the end. All of the
characters are strong individuals who have past events in their lives coming
back to cause problems in their current lives. The characters have different
situations going on but the interchange and exchange of situations blend for a
very interesting and well written story. Trisha R. Thomas has
another winner with
NAPPILY IN BLOOM
and you will enjoy this story as much as I did.
