July 2007

SYNOPSIS: National bestselling author Angela Winters tells the intriguing drama of the Chase family—a powerful African—American family who seem to have it all.

MAINSTREAM FICTION |4| Marguerite Lemons

REVIEW: NEVER ENOUGH, the sequel to VIEW PARK, continues the Chase Family saga. The main focus is on Avery and Carter, who are now engaged, but Carter is keeping a secret that may very well destroy his relationship with the only woman he has ever loved. The drama continues as Kimberly Chase, Michael’s wife, sets out to destroy her mother-in-law for making her life a living hell since the day she married into the family. When she uncovers Janet’s thirty year old secret, Kimberly will stop at nothing to expose her; but will her plan backfire and ruin her marriage, as well as, her husband’s chances to become CEO of Chase Beauty? Haley, who was banished to Europe after her escapades in the previous story, is back and more determined than ever to stir up trouble. When her family begins to self-destruct and someone else’s life is in danger, will Haley finally realize that it’s time to grow up?

NEVER ENOUGH has many of the same characters from VIEW PARK, but with the introduction of a few new ones. This book also has several sub-plots running concurrently throughout the story, and again, Ms. Winters does an excellent job working through the characters with entertaining dialog and relatable issues. After having read VIEW PARK, the switching between story-lines did not bother me as much this time, and I found this story to have more of an edge than the previous one. Ms. Winters again leaves one end dangling until next time.

For those who enjoy romance, intrigue, and never-ending drama; this is the series for you. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with in the third installment of saga.
