REVIEW:
No good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly, and from all
worldly appearances Hallison Dinkins and Malcolm Jamieson had everything good in
their favor. These engaged soon-to-be lovers had passion, chemistry, and eyes
for each other, but with opposing beliefs.
Hallison Dinkins possessed poise, intelligence, beauty, brains, and a deep
abiding faith in God. Although reared in the church, she had departed from the
faith when she met Malcolm. They met, dated, got engaged, and then went to
church together on New Years Eve. She came out converted and committed to Christ
with even more intensity and dedication to her faith.
Malcolm Jamieson, nice guy, handsome hunk, self-sufficient, CPA, was a
descendant of African kings, with the presence and physical attributes that made
women drool and men stand taller. He had found the woman he wanted emotionally,
physically, and sexually despite the fact that she was committed to the Lord.
Surely, if they loved each other so much, nothing would stand in their way even
though he refused to be forced to be converted and commit to Christ.
NOT GUILTY OF LOVE
is a sweet-spirited, enjoyable read that stirs up the emotions as the lives of
believers are exposed and challenged. The eyes of the world are on churchgoers,
believers, to see if they are living sacrifices with a true testimony or a
lie-a-mony. The scenes are relative with the scriptures integrated with purpose
that enlightens and enriches. A feisty senior and smart-mouth toddler reveal
just how far influence reaches, while showing that wisdom does not always
increase with age.
Pat Simmons is a talented writer who does a brilliant job depicting rich,
multidimensional, colorful characters consumed with life. Themes of lust, love,
passion, sin, redemption, earthly desires, attempted murder, death, witchcraft,
hypocrisy, and sugar-coated disobedience are woven into the path of repentance,
deliverance, forgiveness, and power on the path to eternal life.
NOT GUILTY OF LOVE
is an excellent book to read and share.
