REVIEW:  In the third and final book of the Holmes Brothers series, Farrah Rochon takes us through the rough road of love with Alexander Holmes. Alex is a widower who owns Holmes Construction and has been celibate for six years due to his wife’s cheating ways. Renee is the special projects coordinator at Alex’s daughter’s school who has recently moved to New Orleans. Alex and Renee are instantly attracted to each other and decide to explore their feelings.

Alex is the oldest of the three Holmes men. He has kept his wife’s wrongdoing and indiscretions a secret not only to protect her memory for their daughter but because of the shame he feels. He is a very loving person who is constantly taking care of his family and employees but doesn’t take the time to take care of himself. Renee is living in New Orleans to help her aunt repair her home after Hurricane Katrina. She has never been in a casual relationship and is willing to step out on a limb and see where a relationship with Alex will lead. I like how the family and friends are tied in the story. They help keep the story real by offering advice.

The majority of the story takes place in New Orleans. The story takes on a realistic feel because it talks about the continuous clean up efforts since Hurricane Katrina. The family goes to St. Martin for a wedding adding a more relaxed environment that helps with the plot of the story.

RESCUE ME moves at an excellent pace. There are constant conversations that keep the story very interesting and the reader engaged. Farrah Rochon has added details and a captivating plot to ensure that you won’t want to put this novel down.

I absolutely loved this novel. I purchased the two previous novels,
DELIVER ME and RELEASE ME as soon as I finished RESCUE ME. Renee and Alex are truly a match that was meant to be. There is a surprising twist at the end of the book that lets you know how strong and loving a person Alex Holmes is. I would definitely recommend this book and the other books that are in the series.
