REVIEW:  Ciara Miller is assigned to the congressional beat and despises it. She wants her big break and feels that her current assignment is not it. She’s a beautiful, sexy, and alluring woman that has the men flocking to her, like bees to honey.  But Ciara has a secret that no one knows about.

Senatorial candidate Jonathan Butler is powerful, handsome, charismatic, and wants to follow in his father’s footsteps; but on his own terms. Jonathan likes the women and they just can’t get enough of him. When these two meet for the first time at a local bar and leave together, this is the beginning of an illicit affair in which both could face some serious repercussions.

In RISKY BUSINESS OF LOVE, I was introduced to characters who connect with the storyline very well. The chemistry between Ciara and Jonathan is sizzling hot. Ciara is boisterous, confident, and knows what she wants and goes after it; I can’t hate on her for that. Jonathan is charismatic and comes from a powerful family, but he has a mind of his own. I like that about him. He stands up to his opinionated father and makes his own decisions. In the world of politics you face betrayal, lies, and plenty of scandals; and boy do you see it in this story. Ciara and Jonathan go through a lot, but they are strong characters.

Readers will be taken on a rollercoaster ride that seems to never end with its twists and turns. The one secondary character who stood out to me was Reid Hamilton. As Jonathan’s father’s chief of staff, he is a man that can make or break an individual. He definitely adds a twist to the story.

Ms. St. John has to be commended on connecting the characters and storyline perfectly. Her latest effort will have readers on edge until the very last page. RISKY BUSINESS OF LOVE provides plenty of mystery, steamy love scenes, and a good plot. It’s a must read.
