PLOT SYNOPSIS:

Determined to obtain movie rights from a bestselling author, superstar Lance Morgan must go through Alexandra Price, who's the only one who knows the author's identity. Both intend to have their way at any cost, but they don't bargain on love.

REVIEW:

Alexandra Price is a former child star actress and teen idol. Alexandra values her life outside of the spotlight. She has become somewhat of a recluse since leaving the business. Lance Morgan is an internationally known actor who desires to move behind the camera. He just needs the perfect script to make that happen. The key to obtaining the rights to the perfect story is Alexandra.

Lance desires a meeting with Mason Turner, the mysterious best selling author. Since Mason Turner does everything through his agent or attorney, no one has ever met or seen the author. Lillian Turner-Price, Alexandra’s mother, is Mason Turner’s agent. Lance hopes that Alexandra knows where Mason can be found. All he has to do is sweep Alexandra off her feet so that she will tell all she knows. Lance is warned that the trap he plans to set could be his own downfall.

SINCE FOREVER starts off with a prologue leaves one wondering in what direction Ms. Norfleet will go. The reader is captured in the blossoming of the relationship. The story begins to unravel when Alexandra finds out Lance’s motives.

From this point on, there are some things that made the story fall off. The development of Alexandra’s character does not fit the actions that she takes against Lance. The relationship between Lance, Shawn, his brother, and their estranged father leaves more questions than answers. The last two chapters left a need for more clarity.

Ms. Norfleet, however, does a wonderful job developing the relationships between Alexandra, Lillian, and Victoria. The character of Victoria brings splashes of color and laughter in each section she appears. The antics of the night prowler bring a sense of humorous justice.

This is an enjoyable read. Ms. Norfleet set a standard with her previous novels that this one just fell short of reaching. I will anticipate her next release, ONE SURE THING.
