REVIEW: Celeste O. Norfleet does an amazing job writing SULTRY STORM the second of three books in the Mother Nature Matchmaker series. Mia James is running from a relationship gone bad, guilt over her father’s death, and straight into the path of a hurricane and love. Deputy Sheriff Esteban “Stephen” Morales has been waiting the last nine months for Mia to come. He is convinced that she is the love of his life. But will the secret that he holds ruin any chance that he may have with her. Celeste O Norfleet shows us that love can come when you least expect it, even in the mist of a hurricane.

Mia feels guilty that she never healed the gap between her and her father before his death. Now she is on a mission to save his home from foreclosure even if that means driving directly in the path of Hurricane Ana to do it. After the end of her engagement to a jerk she is out to prove that she is not cold and frigid. Mia is looking for a little fun but instead she finds the type of love that she never knew existed. Stephen fell in love with Mia from the stories her father told him. He’s been awaiting her return. Now that she has come he has to convince Mia that they were meant to be together. Only problem is that once she finds out the truth about who he is and his relationship with her father, will their love be enough to conquer all.

The supporting characters in this novel are a great addition to the story. They provide the main characters with advice that helps them deal with their situations and ultimately accept and act on their love for one another. The dialogue in this story is intriguing and moves constantly. The setting of the story takes place in Key West.

I would definitely recommend this novel. Celeste did an excellent job of telling Stephen and Mia’s story. I would recommend that you read
TEMPERATURES RISING by Brenda Jackson as it is the first story in this series. I truly enjoyed Mia and Stephen and I can’t wait for the next story.
