Hollington Homecoming Queen Beverly Turner is going all out for this upcoming
ten-year reunion. Dressed to impress from her talents as a Fashion Designer,
Beverly is determined to loosen up and live for that weekend only. Can she do
that when she meets Luscious Lucius Gray on her way to the reunion?
Ms. Byrd introduces two complicated characters that have been burnt in the past.
Beverly has had her share of letdowns, tragedies in her life and she just can’t
seem to get pass it. She’s beautiful, intelligent and a lot of fun, but she
needs to let go of the past. Lucius Gray is definitely a workaholic and this may
have been the problem that caused his first marriage to dissolve, but he’s a
good father and a man that could love again. He’s luscious, all man in every
aspect of the word and he’s not afraid of commitment. Don’t meet many men like
that nowadays. The chemistry between the two is explosive, energetic and
definitely entertaining. Their plans for just having fun that weekend went right
out the door, but of course someone is in denial.
The plot connected from the beginning to the end. The setting was a beautiful
campus environment with clubs, hotels and campus life. The love scenes between
Lucius and Beverly are definitely worth taking notes. The secondary characters
enlightened the story tremendously. I enjoyed the interaction between the other
alumni’s such as: Chloe, Kevin, Kyra, Terrence and of course Tamara and Micah.
Little Miss Rudy with her nonstop questions was too cute. But no one can forget
the infamous Clarence. This guy could be any woman’s best friend. He’s brings a
new name to drama queen. Clarence gave this story unforgettable entertainment.
Ms Byrd truly showed her remarkable talent in creating this story and the
characters. I actually read this book in one day and had a hard time putting it
down. You should definitely purchase the complete Hollington Homecoming series:
