A FOREVER PASSION (5)

Angela Winters has done it again!  Here is another sexy, passionate book that fairly scintillates with style and story.  Her last book, A FOREVER PASSION, was a treat for her readers and this one is like a double dip raspberry sorbet on a hot summer day.

Maya Woodson is the public relations director of the Pharaoh Hotel Corporation and it is not because she is gorgeous or the daughter of the late founder.  It is because she is smart, savvy and knows the business better than anyone else.  She is the perfect choice for the job and she does it brilliantly.

But when Pharaoh goes public, a hotshot investment relations firm is hired to assure a smooth transition and an increase in revenue for the corporation.  And the hotshot head of that organization, Trajan Matthews has little use for what he calls the ‘puff pastry’ of PR.  Assuring a smooth public rollout of an IPO is a task that is going to require delicate negotiation and skill. That last thing wither Trajan or Maya needs is a distraction.

They are distracted by each other, however, and are drawn into a passionate affair even though it could spell disaster.  To make matters worse, something is happening at Pharaoh—someone is determine to destroy the hotel and Maya along with it.  Despite everything Trajan and Maya fight to be together and come out winners in THE BUSINESS OF LOVE.

Ms Winters has developed a real gift for telling a suspenseful, sexy story.  Trajan and Maya are a great couple who are never allowed to sink into the traditional traps of a couple in conflict. Hey irritate each other, they are annoyed by each other, but they are able to set immature behavior aside and get down to business in the boardroom and out.

I particularly liked the fact that Trajan is a typical male—he is not perfect by any means, at least not in the traditional romance novel sense. He is stubborn, tender, arrogant and can even be patronizing which gives Maya a reason to show her considerable strength as they learn to appreciate each other.

There is an elegant suspense to this book; the mystery deepens convincingly until the final dénouement which stunned me—I love to be tantalized and then get a knock out ending like this one.

Ms Winters is definitely on a roll.  If you missed A FOREVER PASSION, grab it up with her other titles and then get down to THE BUSINESS OF LOVE.  It’s an investment you can’t afford to overlook.
