REVIEW:
Solange Montgomery is the corporate manager for Microsystems Computers in New
York. Ali Marks is a second generation cop, who like his father before him, has
to endure some racism while trying to get ahead on the force. Solange and Ali
have been dating for some time and when they finally decide to wed it seems as
though world begins to conspire against them. Solange is a smart, fair and
considerate manager, but she ignores her intuition while dealing with company
forced layoffs at her plant. Her inattentiveness, the stress on her job and
issues with Ali’s mother and extended family cause her to make snap judgments
that may cost her Ali’s love and her life. Ali is working through his own demons
after being involved in a shoot out, and having to deal with a disability that
he has kept hidden since his childhood. reviewer@romanceincolor.com | 1st February 2010
