REVIEW: Wealthy Texas heiress Rachel Malone defies
her father and elopes with a man well below her father’s standards.
Logan Prescott knew they came from different circles, but felt their
love was strong. Neither anticipated a scandal would cause their hearts
pain and have Logan fleeing the town of Stanton; leaving behind his
bittersweet memories of their love. Back after years of sulking, Logan
is determined to get to the bottom of why Rachel betrayed him. Rachel is
haunted by a secret that she may be forced to reveal. Can both of them
come to terms with the demons that have haunted them over the years?
In UNDENIABLE, Ms. Ray does it again. She combines two compound
characters trying to find love again. Rachel has been trying to please
her father all her life and takes over his construction business, due to
his illness. But nothing she does seem to please him; she just wants his
unconditional love. Rachel is a passionate woman who wants the American
dream of marriage, kids, and the white picket fence. The business has
taken some bad turns and Rachel is working real hard to keep it a float.
I liked her ambition and drive to prove to her father that she’s capable
of doing it all. She has always loved Logan, but was forced to choose
between Logan and her father. Logan has come a long way. He has a
successful real estate business and comes back for revenge. Logan still
loves Rachel, but can’t understand why she betrayed him. He’s a very
complicated man, but when he sets his mind to doing something, there’s
no turning back.
The story connects well with the characters. The plot is invigorating
and surprising in the end. The love scenes are sizzling hot. The
secondary characters bring a lot of energy to the story. The twist and
turns keep it flowing at a good pace. One of the secondary characters
that really stands out is Rachel’s father. This man does any and
everything to keep his elite status and doesn’t care who he destroys in
the process.
Bravo, Ms. Ray on a job well done. UNDENIABLE is definitely a good
read.
