REVIEW: Celise Markam is an heiress to the Markam
Resort and Hotel chains. She is adamant about doing things her way and
has no interest in living out the plans her family has in store for her.
She’s broken off her engagement and moves to Monterey, California to
venture into the restaurant business. The last thing on her mind would
be having a fling with a man she meets at the hotel she’s staying at.
Jason Carrington, a hotel owner is trying to find the culprit
responsible for sabotaging his business. He eyes Celise checking into
his hotel and finds her irresistible. He stops at nothing to get her
attention, and into his bed. Their explosive chemistry towards one
another is undeniable. Can a fling like this turn into something
electrifying?
In WANTING YOU, Ms. Arthur demonstrates her beguiling talents of
connecting a good storyline and energetic characters. She explores,
in-depth, the magnitude that the characters will give the story, and
adds just enough twists and turns to keep you reading. Celise is a
vibrant woman who knows what she wants, but is fearful of failing. She
stops at nothing to get her point across. Her talents at seduction
unravel Jason to no end. She lights a fire so explosive that poor Jason
doesn’t know if he’s coming or going. Jason gets Celise in bed and
introduces her to another side of lovemaking, but the tables have turned
on him; he’s become the vulnerable one. Their love scenes are so hot
that sparks fly off of each page.
The plot is perfect for the story, it connects to each and every part of
the story. The seduction intensifies and I enjoyed each and every scene.
The secondary characters bring fire and energy. The Markham’s are
dominant business people who see something they want and they go after
it. The Carrington’s are the same way, but are more passionate. The love
scenes are erotic, but are done in good taste. Two secondary characters
that stand out are Nigel and Pamela. These two are a hot mess; they
bring drama, seduction, and betrayal to the story. This definitely added
fuel to the fire.
I commend Ms. Arthur on a magnificent job of creating a good story,
unforgettable characters, and passion that is hypnotic. I could
definitely read this book again. This book is a must read.
