This year we were not treated to the June Brides selections as we were last year.  However, Arabesque did re-issue the titles for some languorous summer reading.  The June Brides Anthology, entitled WEDDING BELLS, contains stories by Francine Craft, Gwynne Forster and Niqui Stanhope.

In "Love for a Lifetime" (4) by the incomparable Gwynne Forster, attorneys Ginger Hinds and Jason Calhoun meet in a wildly romantic interlude in Zimbabwe,.  They are thrown together back in the USA as courtroom adversaries where their clients are not the only thing on trial—their love for each other is also facing the stiffest opposition of all…

Francine Craft’s "A Love Made in Heaven" (3) shows that love can be even sweeter the second time around.  Both Margo Hilliard and Ron Hyman are victims of love.  That they found in other and fell in love is miracle enough—will the miracle last long enough to get them down the aisle in the face of interference from family and old flames?  If it’s "A Love Made in Heaven", anything is possible…

"Champagne Wishes" (2+) is the continuation of a full-length novel by Niqui Stanhope.  If you have not read MADE FOR EACH OTHER, this novella will still make sense, but if you have read it, you may not understand it so well…Now that I have confused you thoroughly, let me explain.  The novel ends in such a way that you expect a certain conclusion which you do not get in this book.  It is an unusual and unorthodox approach for an author to take, but innovation is often a good thing in romance as in anything else.

Whether it ends the way you desire or not, this continuation of Summer Stevens and Gavin Pagne’s Jamaican adventure will make you believe in the power of the islands as aid to lasting romance.
