REVIEW:
PR director Andre Buchanan is determined to keep his family's company skeletons
under wraps. But Joanna Butler, hired by Andre's grandfather to ghostwrite his
memoirs, poses a significant danger--especially when Andre starts falling for
her.
Ms. Norfleet introduces two intrusive and precautious characters. Joanna Butler
is a ghost writer who enjoys her job. She’s been given a big assignment in doing
the memoir of the Buchanan family. She runs into a snag with one of the family
members—Andre Buchanan. She isn’t prepared for the overprotective Andre
Buchanan, but she’s a woman who can hold her own. In her mind, he has an
ulterior motive of botching up her memoir, and she’s not having that. It sure
doesn’t stop her from lusting after him though.
Andre is a man on a mission. He’s a PR person and his job is to keep everything
flowing smoothly with no negative publicity regarding his family’s business or
personal life. He wants Jo gone, but soon after spending some time with her, he
realizes he’s attracted to her. Andre is a man who goes after what he wants, but
I found it interesting he ran into problems getting his way with Jo. She’s not
like the everyday women he’s dealt with in the past. Now mind you, Andre is a
man that has good persuasion tactics. But we all know sooner or later, we meet
our match. These two characters bring explosive chemistry and this kept the
storyline exciting.
The setting takes place in Alaska. Now I have to admit I know very little about
Alaska, except that it seems like a very cold place to live. However, this story
intrigued me a lot about the history and tourist sites they mentioned and I
found myself enjoying Alaska. I enjoyed the impact the Buchanan family had on
the story. I really enjoyed Jacob’s character. It seems families that are
successful and rich are adamant about keeping outsiders away from their family
secrets or indiscretions.
I commend Ms. Norfleet on a job well done. I definitely recommend reading this
WHEN IT FEELS SO RIGHT.
