SYNOPSIS: An anthology by three of Kimani Arabesque's best!
CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE:

REVIEW: In Niobia Bryant's “Could it Be” (4), Celebrity Fashion
Stylist Ameena Jones’ business is really taking off, which allows her to
live comfortably in her New York condo. She hasn’t dated much and
definitely hasn’t found that true love. One day Ameena’s three best
friends give her a gift certificate to a speed dating event at a local
nightclub. She’s totally against the idea but goes along for laughs only
to find herself strongly attracted to one of the candidates, Marcus
Daniels. The attraction between them is instantaneous, even though
Marcus is quiet and reserved and Ameena is vivacious and outgoing. A
business dealing involving both Ameena and Marcus causes a mishap and a
break up of the relationship. Together they have to focus on love and
trust in order for this relationship to survive.
Liz Walker in Melanie Schuster's "Chain of Fools" (4) is an executive
producer. She feels that men only want good looking women with low IQ’s.
She is forced to prove her point when she goes on a reality TV dating
show dressed like a hoochie. Her date is Romare Alexander, a good
looking intelligent chef who quickly peaks her interest. Her views on
men change after several dates with Romare and she finds herself faced
with falling in love with the man she set out to deceive.
The heroine in Kimberley White's “To Have It All” (3+), Lacey
Montgomery, has become a successful screenwriter, but finds she’s lonely
and wants a companion. Through the advice of a friend she turns to
internet dating and finds a match in screen name Chocolate Dream (aka Mikel Bauer). Mikel is an attorney, agent and financial planner. After
several months of online dating, they finally agree to meet. Both Lacey
and Mikel can be difficult and stubborn, but find themselves falling for
each other. When events unfold that tests their relationship, they
struggle to reclaim the love that drew them together in the first place.
I enjoyed all three stories, but was most fascinated by Niobia and
Melanie’s characters. Both their characters brought humor and excitement
to the stories. I was amazed how modern dating is actually taking off
and how women are receptive to it. I was extremely impressed with the
writing in these stories. I thought the female characters were extremely
well written; each character handled their situations with class. I
adored the character of Marcus Daniels and definitely Romare Alexander.
Marcus is traditional, but not boring and of course Romare was so
appealing with his culinary skills. The supporting characters in all the
stories played a significant part of making the storylines a success.
Consider a story on the supporting characters. I was extremely impressed
with the writing in the stories; the women were professional and classy;
men professional and sexy. I recommend reading this book
