REVIEW:  Sofia Silva is hiding a secret from her family and friends because she doesn’t want to disappoint them. Her engagement to a man they love and approve of has ended. Yet, Sofia continues with the fake engagement as if a wedding is still forthcoming.  Her mom is recovering from an illness and she fears that bad news might be detrimental to her health. Jon Gunther enters the picture and their attraction is instant. The more time Sofia spends in Jon’s presence, the harder she falls. Sofia tries to use her fake engagement as a shield against her feelings for Jon. And of course, it doesn’t work. The heart wants what it wants and will always win in the end. Will Sofia continue to deny her love for Jon or will she grab her chance at happiness and hold it tightly?

Sofia is an event planner securing her place in the world of high-end parties and real estate. With her career on track, she believes that her personal life is following its natural path until she stumbles upon a secret that changes her future forever.  Jon is a gorgeous defense attorney who recently moved to Miami. He’s not looking for any emotional entanglements, but he has a change of heart when he meets Sofia.

UNCONDITIONALLY MINE is another good read by Nadine Gonzalez. This is the second book in her Miami Dreams series. The characters are strong and well-developed. The plot is good and the story flows smoothly. Although there is a glimpse of the characters in her previous book, EXCLUSIVELY YOURS, this is definitely a stand-alone read. I find it interesting how Sofia and Jon danced around each other verbally while navigating their way through a sexually charged relationship. Sofia says she’s engaged when nothing could be further from the truth. Jon claims he only wants to have an affair with Sofia when he is really planning a future with her. Unbeknown to Sofia, of course. And Jon agrees to help Sofia’s ex out of an incrimination situation. What a great guy! This is just a few of the things going on in this fun and flirty book. To learn more, you must read their story.

This was an entertaining, delightful read. I recommend you read both
EXCLUSIVELY YOURS and UNCONDITIONALLY MINE to experience the full effect of Miami Dreams.
