1.  What made you want to be a writer?

Every since I was a little girl, I found myself escaping to this fantasy world in my head, creating imaginary people and places. It was not until I was ten that my stories began to breathe life on numerous yellow legal pads of paper. Writing is cleansing to my mind.  It also allows me the privilege of being anyone I want to be.

2.  Why romance?

I have always enjoyed love stories and even now I read at least three romance novels in any given week. I enjoy the attraction/conflict/surrender scenarios that romance novels are made of.  Love stories make me laugh as well as cry.  But no matter what happens I know there will be a happy ending.  I guess you can say I’m a romantic at heart.  Then one afternoon I was reading a magazine article about the constant need for romance writers and told myself “Girl, you can do that.

3.  Tell me a little bit about INTIMATE INTENTIONS.

To save Diva Designs from bankruptcy, CEO Terraine Andrews launches an intimate apparels ad campaign.  The search then begins for a fashion model.  When Terraine stumbles across a photo of Sasha Moore, his intentions are far from professional. She, however, is not interested in mixing business with pleasure. But when a deadly presence jeopardizes the future of Diva Designs, leaving behind a trail of unexplained murders, Sasha finds herself the next target and runs to Terraine for protection.

4.  What inspired you to write it?

I love mysteries.  I had started writing Intimate Intentions a year ago and put it aside because it sounded so boring.  Then one evening I was watching a movie about an actress who was being stalked by a fan and before I knew it I was adding a serial killer to my story.

5.  Besides writing what do you like to do?

I’m constantly reading anything I can get my hands on. I also enjoy doing home improvements and have done everything from laying ceramic floors to building a deck. (I’m addicted to power tools!)  I’ve recently found a love for weightlifting.

6.  Of the books you've written which is your favorite?

Intimate Intentions is my first novel.  Although I have been working on two other novels simultaneously for the last six months, Intimate Intentions still holds first place in my heart.

7.  Are you a full-time writer?

Yes.  I am lucky enough to have a wonderful husband who has made that dream possible.

But I have found that now time isn’t as precious to me as it was when I was juggling a full-time job.  I have to schedule my day, allotting time to be spent strictly writing.  But even then, I still have to remind myself to turn off the television.

8.  What's next for Angie Daniels?

I am putting the finishing touches on a sequel to Intimate Intentions.  Next, I plan to take my setting to some tropical location.

8.  Tell us a bit about your journey to publication.

Actually, it was easier than I had imagined.  I’ve heard the horror stories of years of rejection letters before I would receive THE CALL that would change my life forever.  But I guess I was lucky. I only solicited two publishing houses before being offered a contract with Genesis Press.

9.  Any special message for the aspiring author?

Dreams do come true!  It requires a lot of hard work and a great deal of determination but when you finally hold the book in your hand with your name on the cover, it makes it all worthwhile.

ROMANCE IN COLOR wishes Ms. Daniels the greatest success!
