There are some life-changing moments in this story, and one of them happens when Ella encounters a young man driving a beautiful refurbished 1967 red classic convertible Mustang. That car brings back a memory of Ella’s teen-age past when she and her two besties “borrowed” a car just like that. I cannot wait until you read about the connection to that car and Ella’s love connection with the handsome driver, Hassan Murphy. Another life-altering moment occurs when an unhinged Preston tries to kidnap Manny. It is an intense scene. The third incident that proves to be life-altering is when Hassan “rescues” his daughters, Zuri and Kali, from their negligent mother and stepfather’s home.
