REVIEW: Welcome back to the Touré Security Group that is owned and operated by the Touré brothers, Malachi (DOWN TO THE WIRE), Jeremiah (HER PRIVATE SECURITY DETAIL), and Hezekiah. SECOND-CHANCE BODYGUARD, the 3rd book in the series highlights Hezekiah, aka Zeke, the oldest Touré brother. Romantic Suspense is one of my favorite genres, and National best-selling author, Patricia Sargeant, does an excellent job by including the perfect mix of “danger, passion, and drama” in this story.
Hezekiah Touré is a natural protector. When he and his brothers discover that a serial killer is threatening his life, he reluctantly, goes into hiding. However, here is the kicker! He does not go into seclusion by himself. Can you say, “close proximity”? He secludes himself in a Touré safe house with one of the best private investigators in the city of Columbus, Ohio, Celeste Jarrett. If anyone can help Hezekiah and his brothers track down this serial killer, it is Celeste. The lady has skills! Add the fact that Celeste and Hezekiah have history. Their relationship did not end well, and that is all I will say about that.
This story will keep you on your toes. The mayhem is real! I enjoyed the strategies, determination, and dangerous maneuvers that the Touré brothers
and secondary characters employed to solve the case. The mastermind behind the diabolical plot to kill Hezekiah will totally surprise you. No tea. Just be prepared for a jaw dropping finale to an engrossing suspense story.
For Hezekiah and Celeste, I will say that they both have a lot to work through as far as their relationship is concerned. However, you will be pleased with their HFN.
I have read all three books in this series, and I have enjoyed each one. The stories in The Touré Security Group Series are brilliantly written and will thoroughly satisfy your romantic suspense tastes. I recommend SECOND-CHANCE BODYGUARD for your reading pleasure as well as books one and two.
