REVIEW: It all started with THE WEEKEND, then THE ARRANGEMENT, THE SPARK and now THE SCRATCH. Aja’s The Lovers Series is a beast! In this latest story, Aja introduces us to Rayna Whitaker, a master electrician by day and a hell of a pool player by night. Next, is Quentin Hale, the Professor. Physics teacher by day, who found order and stability in that area of science where counting prepared him for life. By the way, Quentin is no slouch at pool either.

Rayna and Quentin are fated to meet at a pool tournament that changes their lives forever. The Green Room marks that “meet cute” where “calm and dangerous” and chaos in heels” meet their match. I loved these two characters. They think about each other according to their individual professions. For Rayna, Quentin is a clean breaker panel with straight lines and neat labels. For Quentin, Rayna is not a problem to solve but the whole equation. So very sexy! You must read the story to understand.

If you know anything about pool, a scratch is a mistake that changes everything in the game. I invite you to read this story and discover how “a scratch” in our couple’s relationship causes a reset in their lives.

I invite you also to follow up with
The Kryptonite, a sizzling bonus story to THE SCRATCH. The Kryptonite revisits Rayna and Quentin as they celebrate Halloween with masks, costumes, and a whole lot of heat! Clark Kent and Cat Woman take on a whole new persona! You will get that when you read the story. I cannot leave out the fantastic playlist of 31 songs that is available for your listening pleasure.

Aja has given her readers two stories that are creative, smoldering, engaging, uplifting, and totally captivating.
THE SCRATCH and The Kryptonite are my favorites so far of the The Lovers Series. I highly recommend them for your reading pleasure.
